Innovative learning involves approaches that make the teaching process more engaging and effective. For instance, the flipped classroom model introduces new concepts outside of class through videos or readings, reserving classroom time for interactive discussions and hands-on activities. Project-Based Learning (PBL) encourages students to work on extended projects, applying their knowledge to solve real-world problems. Gamification incorporates game elements into lessons to boost motivation and enjoyment, while technology integration uses digital tools to enhance and personalize learning experiences. Collaborative learning promotes teamwork and peer interaction to deepen understanding, and inquiry-based learning stimulates curiosity by encouraging students to explore and question. Additionally, incorporating mindfulness practices supports students’ emotional well-being, and providing student choice and voice allows learners to influence their own educational journey, fostering greater engagement and motivation.

Various innovative practices are followed by teachers of this Vidyalaya during teaching-learning process.

The students of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya AFS Bagdogra participated in the INSPIRE-MANAK Award Model activity on 27th July 2026.

The activity provided students with an opportunity to showcase their innovative ideas, scientific thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. The students presented their working models and ideas with enthusiasm, demonstrating their ability to identify real-life problems and develop innovative solutions.

The programme encouraged students to develop a scientific temperament and spirit of innovation, inspiring them to explore new ideas and contribute towards solving challenges in their surroundings.
